This course covers details of basic well testing operations, all that trainees need to startup as a well test operator and possibly advance in the well test career.

At the end of the course, trainees/participants will learn the following:

• Learn all the well test equipment and their functions. This include both the upstream and the downstream equipment
• Understand the Safety measures and precautions that are needed during well testing. Unsafe acts and conditions, identify hazards and how to possibly mitigate them.
• Understand the tools used during well testing and how to use them correctly
• Learn basic workshop practices and safety
• Understand the use of valves, differentiate the different valves and when they are needed
• Learn the principles of pressure testing of equipment and Pressure testing procedures
• Identify all Well testing equipment, their functions and usage during a well test operation
• Successfully collect well test data and report them effectively using the best reporting format
• Learn flow simulation to obtain meter factor
• Learn basic well test equipment and their maintenance
